BIBLE

We are motivated by the Bible because Scripture is self-attesting and as the truth it requires our unreserved submission in all areas of life. The infallible Word of God, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is a complete and unified witness to God’s redemptive acts which culminate in the incarnation of the Living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible, uniquely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, is the supreme and final authority on all matters.

RELATIONSHIPS

We are motivated by relationships because by investing in the lives of others, we can share each other’s burdens, rejoice in each other’s victories, and consider others more important than ourselves. As a result of authentic relationships we experience a deep abiding safety and love that invites us into transformation and mission.

COMMUNITY

We are motivated by community because it creates a space of belonging through common experiences. This leads us to focus on the mission of seeking to transform our community by making it more just and good while crossing all cultural, ethnic and ideological boundaries.

 

DISCIPLESHIP

We are motivated by discipleship because we believe Jesus has commissioned us to the work of making disciples who make disciples who make disciples. This command compels us to baptize and teach others to be obedient to what Jesus taught.

MISSION

We are motivated by mission because the Church has a clear biblical mandate to move beyond its own community into the neighborhoods, the city, the nation, and the world. Thus mission is not a program run by the church but an essential identity of the Church. The Church is the missionary people of God sent into all of the world and through their lives God will accomplish His purposes.
